Herlev Eagles kan se frem til europæisk ishockey i sæsonen 2026/27, efter at IIHF har offentliggjort grupperne til Continental Cup 2027.
Herlev Eagles er blevet placeret i Gruppe D, som efter planen afvikles i Asiago, Italien, i november måned. Her venter en spændende europæisk udfordring mod værtsklubben Asiago Hockey 1935, den tidligere Continental Cup-vinder Nomad Astana fra Kasakhstan samt vinderen af kvalifikationsgruppe B.
Turneringen samler nogle af Europas stærkeste klubhold uden for Champions Hockey League, og Herlev Eagles ser frem til at repræsentere dansk ishockey på den internationale scene.
Vejen til finalen går gennem Gruppe D, hvor de tre bedste hold kvalificerer sig til Continental Cups finalestævne i januar 2027. Her vil seks hold kæmpe om trofæet i en afsluttende turnering, der afgør placeringerne fra guld til sjettepladsen.
For Herlev Eagles bliver deltagelsen en spændende mulighed for at måle sig med international modstand og skabe værdifulde erfaringer på højeste europæiske niveau. Samtidig giver turneringen klubbens fans mulighed for at følge holdet på en international scene og opleve europæisk klubishockey med Herlev som repræsentant.
Continental Cup har gennem årene været en vigtig europæisk turnering for klubber fra hele kontinentet, og årets udgave forventes igen at byde på stærk konkurrence og spændende opgør. Gruppe D tegner sig allerede som en udfordrende pulje med både erfaring, kvalitet og international rutine blandt deltagerne.

Herlev Eagles can look forward to European hockey in the 2026/27 season after the IIHF announced the groups for the 2027 Continental Cup.
Herlev Eagles have been drawn into Group D, which is scheduled to take place in Asiago, Italy, this November. The Eagles will face an exciting European challenge against host club Asiago Hockey 1935, former Continental Cup champions Nomad Astana from Kazakhstan, and the winner of Qualification Group B.
The tournament brings together some of Europe's strongest clubs outside the Champions Hockey League, and Herlev Eagles are proud to represent Danish hockey on the international stage.
The road to the final goes through Group D, with the top three teams advancing to the Continental Cup Final Tournament in January 2027. Six teams will then compete for the trophy in a final-stage format that will determine the rankings from first to sixth place.
For Herlev Eagles, participation in the tournament presents an exciting opportunity to compete against international opposition and gain valuable experience at a high European level. At the same time, it gives the club's fans the chance to follow the team on the international stage and experience European club hockey with Herlev as Denmark's representative.
Over the years, the Continental Cup has established itself as an important European competition for clubs across the continent, and this year's edition is expected to once again deliver strong competition and exciting matchups. Group D already promises to be a challenging group, featuring teams with significant experience, quality, and international pedigree.
Herlev Eagles are looking forward to the challenge and are proud to represent the club, the city, and Danish hockey when the team travels to Italy in November.
